There were possible sightings of a tornado off of Highway 101. Homes have been damaged in that area, along with large trees and power lines down.

Carteret County residents along Highway 101 from Laurel Road to Copeland Road will be without power while crews work to clean up damaged power lines. There are reported power outages throughout the county from trees falling on the lines.
